From my experience as a bridal makeup professional, I believe bridal makeup is about much more than simply creating a beautiful look. It is about understanding the bride, her personality, her outfit, the wedding setting, and how she wants to feel on one of the most important days of her life.
I always recommend starting with a proper consultation. During this conversation, I like to understand the bride’s preferred makeup style, skin concerns, outfit, jewellery, hairstyle, and overall wedding theme. This helps me create a look that feels personal rather than simply following a trend.
I also encourage brides to prepare their skin well before the wedding. A consistent skincare routine, good hydration, and professional guidance can help create a better base for makeup. A makeup trial can also be valuable for finalising the look and making any adjustments in advance.
On the wedding day, my priority is creating makeup that looks beautiful both in person and in photographs while keeping the bride comfortable throughout the celebrations.
For me, bridal makeup should enhance the bride’s natural features without taking away her individuality. My goal is to create a timeless, elegant, and personalised bridal look that she will love looking back on for years to come.
The most important thing I want every bride to feel is simple: confident, comfortable, and completely herself.
